Katherine Chin is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law and the managing partner of the firm’s Miami, Florida office. Ms. Chin began her legal career defending corporations, entrepreneurs, media companies, entertainers, and employers in all aspects of federal and state civil trial litigation and arbitration. Ms. Chin’s commercial litigation practice includes representing public and private employers and insurers against civil rights, health, and disability related claims, contractual disputes, business torts, and issues relating to intellectual property. Outside of the courtroom, Ms. Chin advises employers on day-to-day operations, employment matters, and helps clients navigate compliance issues, including federal and state agency investigations before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Florida Commission on Human Relations.

 

Additionally, Ms. Chin helps clients navigate family and probate issues in Florida. Ms. Chin’s background in psychology informs her practice, striving to maintain the mental and emotional well-being of her clients as they navigate challenging issues. Ms. Chin empowers clients to gain control of their legal health by preparing prenuptial, post-nuptial, cohabitation and other contractual agreements between partners, seeking to minimize contentious litigation after a break-up. Similarly, Ms. Chin advises clients on how to effectively plan for their families upon their passing.
